I have been looking everywhere for my sense of humour

but it is lost somewhere …

Ah Bloom County.  What a beautiful world that was, and truth be told, a stuffed Opus [careful, he might hear you, ed.] accompanied us to the hospital when our first child was born, and they put an admission band around his neck that he proudly sports to this day, 2o some odd years later.  Dr_Opus  [Oh no, she found little irresistible gifs., Bill_the_Cat_2, ed.]

My brothers read a lot of Pogo growing up, and I did enjoy the bayou, although the dialogue was often way over my head.  Searching through it now, it seems much more political than I realized.  I thought it just didn’t make much sense.  I think I am still right, in that politics makes no sense to this day.  And sometimes it was just odd, but that’s fine by me:

But Bloom County was a sweet place.  As Gary Trudeau began losing his sense of humour writing the Doonesbury comics, unable to separate himself from the politics he was satirizing, Burke Breathed came forward like a breathed of fresh air:

But alas he too found a dark side, and Outland was born and it faded away … as had Bloom County:

Perhaps it is the politics that wears away the humour.  Better to tackle universal traits than the machinations of self-interested politicians, and be forever young, like Calvin and Hobbes:

Hmnnn, maybe that wasn’t the best example!

Better to end with Charlie Brown and Snoopy, who do seem to have found eternal youth, companionship and good humour:

Write about dogs indeed.  And maybe tigers and penguins too.

    Good Morning Xty B

Sense of humor? When it’s freezing cold and raining. . .? Nope, not here.
But I’m sure you’ll find it before summer!
In fact, a lot of good things will probably happen before summer.
Now to internet search for a current location of full sun and 100 degrees….
