I think the comment image plugin needs updating … that is my best guess so far, and I need to leave it along for a mo … but I will solve this somehow.
Ha! Last attempt – skipped the attach file button thingy and was able to simple copy and paste the picture in. But I did need to resize it. But I think I turned the image resize off while trying to fix things. That is my mum and I and eldest brother on the Empress of Canada going to England in 1969.
I will remove the attach file button and see if cut and paste works for my vast audience.
Only now you have to cut and paste the smilies, which were working perfectly before. And even that seems flawed. I can’t even invoke Mr Green!

Well that was a cluge … but it posted with the html link created by photo bucket just copied and embedded in the comment box. So it must be the dratted plugin.
But it does mean you can put up your pictures, just need to upload them somewhere first, and then copy the url, with the a href= etc., etc., tag.
But I will hope to repair the choose file button, although I wasn’t very fond of it either.

Good morning. Today is shaping up to be strangely social. I am attending a baby shower for one of my daughter’s friends, whom I actually kind of know through my appropriation of the high school cheerleading team from the hands of a most interesting mum who had amongst other problems a morphine addiction stemming from fibromyalgia, and a tendency to accumulate moneys the girls had fundraised and not part with it. I have gone on about this before, but she was an adult bully and the school was having an anti-bullying campaign and I presented their pamphlet back to the athletic director (who was so handsome as to render all conversations extremely difficult) and took over the management of the team. I was also a chauffeur and hotel den mother. I am a beast when people are being mean to the vulnerable, and these girls were reduced to tears on a regular basis. Coaching is so great and so terrible at the same time – but not coaching is the worst.
And then this is just embarrassing to me. My hubby’s well-intentioned family were very helpful to a group of Vietnamese boat people back in 1975, just before I entered the scene again, and when my hubby just wondered why these people were getting so much attention and was vaguely jealous. I was inclined to not understand anything deeply, and it seemed rather a fashionable thing to do, rather than a real need. But these families have prospered and been extremely grateful and there is a 40th anniversary of their and their compatriots arrival in Canada and we are the designated Bacq’s at the event. I just hope they don’t thank the ungrateful little stoners that we were.
And then there is the boat …
But I am feeling much more like my old self these days. And hope and intend to get back to my irritating words of the day, etc. and maybe even just a little outrage.

The son of one of those poor souls is now an MPP, meaning he is an elected member of the provincial parliament. And yes, their grandfather was released from prison … in 1994 … and was able to join the family.
Sorry, not an MPP, just a constituent … I misread the story. But it was through some tears … I am so privileged. The comment below the story is by my father-in-law, btw.

came across a cut i hadn’t tried yet. got home and looked it up. my instincts were right on. all i had to do is scare up some oak for the smoke. had doubled back and bought the chilis, lime and tomatillos right after finding the tri-tip on sale at the store. only regret is that i should have bought every one of them and filled the freezer.

Any chance there is a little (Edit) beside the time and date of the comment? I changed the comment field plug in, and for reasons beyond my ken it seems to almost always show the little mini edit, and only sometimes shows the bigger buttons at the bottom of the comment. But it should be there for you too.
